About In and Out Movers
Same family.
Same trucks.Since 1997.
Igal Pinto loaded his first Rockville job in April 1997. Twenty-nine years later the name on the paperwork hasn't changed, the family still answers the phone, and every crew that shows up at your door works for us, never a subcontractor.

How this started
One truck, one family, one zip code.
In and Out Movers started on 15 April 1997 as a one-truck operation working out of Rockville. Igal Pinto did the estimates, drove the truck, and carried the boxes.
The business grew the slow way, off referrals from people whose grandmother's china arrived unbroken. In 2004 it was formally incorporated as In and Out Movers and Relocation LLC, and the family took on the warehouse on Southlawn Lane that still holds our customers' belongings today.
We never took the shortcut that most moving companies take: selling your job to whichever crew is free that morning.
That shortcut is why so many moves go wrong. When a broker sells your move on, nobody in the truck has any relationship with the company you hired, or with you. We've never done it. The crew that arrives is on our payroll, trained by us, and answerable to Igal by lunchtime if something goes sideways.
Twenty-nine years in, we're still small enough that the owner's name is on the email address and big enough to move you across the country or across an ocean.

Who you're actually hiring
The people whose name is on the truck.
Moving is the one home service where you hand strangers the keys and walk away. So here's exactly who we are.
Igal Pinto
Owner & Manager
Started the company in 1997 and still runs estimates and scheduling himself. If your move is complicated (a piano, a fourth-floor walk-up, a closing date that moved), Igal is the one who figures it out.
LinkedInNoam Israeli
Claims Manager
Handles the part most companies hide. If something gets damaged, Noam is the person you speak to, not a call centre, not a form that goes nowhere. Having a named claims manager is why our BBB record looks the way it does.
Coby Pinto
Operations
Second generation. Runs day-to-day operations and keeps crews, trucks and schedules pointing in the same direction across Maryland, DC and Virginia.

The warehouse
When the dates don't line up, your things stay with us.
Closings slip. Leases overlap by three weeks. Renovations run long. Most movers answer that by pointing you at a self-storage unit and wishing you luck with a second load.
We keep 10,000 square feet of private, monitored warehouse space on Southlawn Lane, four minutes from downtown Rockville. Your belongings are inventoried, wrapped, palletised and stored by the same crew that packed them, and delivered by that crew when you're ready.

What actually happens
Four steps, and you'll know the price before anyone lifts anything.
We survey the job
Walkthrough in person or by video. We count the rooms, flag the stairs, the piano, the parking. No guessing over the phone.
You get a written estimate
Itemised, in writing, with the crew size and hours spelled out. If something changes, we tell you before it costs you.
Our crew packs and loads
Our own employees, in our own trucks. Furniture blanket-wrapped, every item tagged and listed on your inventory sheet.
We place it, not dump it
Boxes go in the right rooms and beds get reassembled. We check the inventory against the sheet with you before we leave.
What we move
Six services, one crew.

Before you call
Questions we get every week.
Are you actually licensed and insured?
Yes, and you can check without asking us. We operate under USDOT 1207006 and MC 494651, with $750,000 of liability coverage on file with the FMCSA. Both numbers are searchable on the federal SAFER database. We're also a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating.
Do you subcontract moves to other companies?
Never. Every crew that arrives at your home is employed by In and Out Movers and trained by us. We are a carrier, not a broker. When you book with us, you are booking the people who will actually do the work.
How long have you been in business?
Since April 1997, which makes 2026 our twenty-ninth year. The company was formally incorporated as In and Out Movers and Relocation LLC in 2004 and has been family-owned throughout.
What happens if something gets damaged?
You call Noam, our claims manager, directly. Every item is listed on an inventory sheet at pickup and checked off at delivery, so there's a record of condition on both ends. Having one named person handle claims is why our complaint record is what it is.
Can you store my things between moving dates?
Yes. We keep a private 10,000 sq ft warehouse in Rockville, monitored 24/7. Your belongings are inventoried and wrapped by the same crew that loaded them, stored on our own racking, and delivered by that crew when your new place is ready.
Do you move out of state or overseas?
Both. We hold our own interstate operating authority for household goods, so long-distance moves stay with our crew rather than being handed to a line-haul carrier. For international moves we handle export packing, documentation and freight booking.
How does your pricing work?
Local moves are billed hourly, with a minimum job length of [X] hours. Your written estimate lists the crew size, the hourly rate, the estimated hours, and anything that would change the total: stairs, long carries, packing materials, or items added after the walkthrough.
Nothing gets added to your bill without us telling you first. If the job is running longer than estimated, we tell you while there's still time to make a decision about it, not when we hand you the invoice.
How do I get a price?
Call 800-346-9857 or request a quote online. We'll do a walkthrough in person or by video, then send a written, itemised estimate with crew size and hours before you commit to anything. The more complete your inventory list, the closer the estimate lands to the final number.
Tell us what you're moving.
Free written estimates, no obligation, and a real person on the other end of the line. We'll tell you honestly if we're not the right fit for your job.
